Established in 1998, our aim has been to demonstrate the beauty and versatility of the clarinet......
We are based in the South of England, playing mainly in Dorset and Hampshire. We have performed on many occasions at a wide variety of venues including Hotels, Charity Functions, Weddings, Anniversary and Birthday Parties, Garden Parties, Music Festivals and London's Southbank.
Our name derives from the old jazz name for a clarinet - a liquorice stick, and we wear our colourful stripes as we love to play "All Sorts" of music!
We play a wide range of music, from Handel, Mozart and Debussy to Gershwin, Bernstein and Ellington - playing many of our own arrangements and transcriptions.
..........................came together in 1998 when we were all members of Bournemouth and District Concert Band (still going strong, and we all still enjoy playing in a Concert Band too!). In our 25+ years of playing together we have developed our own unique style. Have a listen on our music page, and then come along and hear a live performance!
...........enterprising and entertaining
and I wish them every success!
